Before becoming the Director for the Luxury Homes Division for Keller Williams - Santa Barbara, Jon was a member of Coldwell Banker's Presidents Circle for over 10 years, placing him among the top 10% of all Realtors Internationally. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) and Associate of Arts in Real Estate, Law & Society, Liberal Arts, & Political Science. Jon returned back to UCSB for post graduate work to earn his Professional Financial Planner credential. He did this solely for the benefit of his clients. As the Real Estate market here in Santa Barbara and the surrounding area continues to change, he finds himself in the unique position of being able to assist his clients with their financial goals and point them in the right direction for their fiscal needs.

Jon is a 3rd Generation Realtor and was mentored in Real Estate by his grandparents who, as successful brokers for over 35 years, taught him the importance of customer service, education, professionalism, loyalty and above all else, honesty. Jon brings these traits and characteristics to each of his transactions. He treats each and every transaction as though it were his own personal investment, keeping his client's best interests as his primary consideration.

As a Decorated Disabled Persian Gulf War Veteran he brings his unique "CAN DO" attitude to the Santa Barbara Real Estate Market. During his time in the military, Jon served as a Gunner's Mate aboard an ammunition carrier. Jon excelled on numerous occasions winning Sailor of the Month & Sailor of the Quarter. He has served in the Mediterranean & the Persian Gulf and was a recipient of the Navy & Marine Corps Navy Achievement Medal. He was also meritoriously promoted due to his stellar performances.

He believes that there is nothing that can't be accomplished if you put your mind to it. Having spent five years in the military and being responsible for 36 men and billions of dollars worth of weaponry, Jon has the experience and ability to deal with problem situations in a professional and unique manner. The more difficult the situation or transaction, the bigger the reward. He views problems as an opportunity to create a better solution. This is why he founded DAVREP, a non-profit organization that helps Disabled Veterans transition into becoming successful Realtors within their local communities

Jon believes in his civic duties and giving back to communities . He travels annually on Mission trips and has visited New Orleans and the surrounding communities on 2 trips immediately following Hurricane Katrina. His time was spent working in construction to help rebuild homes. He has also traveled internationally to far off destinations such as Ecuador to help those who are less fortunate and spend time rebuilding children's afterschool programs. Locally, Jon has served on over 22 separate committees

Jon is originally from Ireland and was born in Derry. His father was in the United States Navy. Jon left Ireland at the age of 3 only to return to Belfast 12 years later. During that period, his father's deployments led him to places such as Barbados, Spain, Italy, Washington State, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, and California. At the age of 15, Jon returned back to Ireland with his mother, who came down with Hodgkin's Disease, a form a Cancer which attacks the Lymph Nodes. Jon attended Belfast Royal Academy, a prep school for Oxford. Jon studied A-levels in Politics, Economics & English Literature. Upon graduation, Jon joined the U.S. Military.

Jon has been practicing Real Estate in Santa Barbara since he got out of the military in 1997. Perfection is an attribute that he strives for in all of his endeavors and he always enjoys a challenge. With each of his listings, he designs a web commercial, hires a professional photographer, has a website created specific to the property, sends out 1000 invitations for each open house, emails invitations to a database of 2,000 former and active clientele and distributes flyers to the neighbors prior to each open house. Additionally, he advertises in local magazines and newspapers, as well as National magazines. Jon has a staff of 2 full time assistants, both licensed Realtors, a full time Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Programmer, and a web designer.
